Motivating…right out of bed

When you wake up in the morning, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?  Is it the beautiful day ahead?  Is it the fact that you overslept?  Is it the traffic later on, the breakfast, your long day ahead?  STOP.

Try this for three weeks and let me know how it goes:  as soon as you open your eyes, think of all the things you are greatful for.  If you need help with the list, start with the fact that God (or whatever you believe in) gave you the present of life.  Then start thinking of your family and friends.  Maybe you can be thankful that you have a job or a source of income, that you have a body to exericise, that you have a roof over your head.  It could be as simple as thanking God that you actually had a bed to sleep in.

After doing this for three weeks, I can guarantee you that you will not need much help finding things to be thankful for, from the biggies to the smallest ones.  And you will also notice how your mood starts to change.  If you are one of those people that seems to get grumpy out of bed, you will see that there is a smile on your face, your mood lifts, your energy shines and you are more relaxed.

Start with the beginning of your day.  Once you become an expert on this, I will tell you about the rest of your day.  You can make your life be whatever YOU want it to be, you just have to want to.
